This is a free, family friendly, happening event so that you who are interested can get to know us as a school and see why we love what we do. Its a great excuse to come back to the school and see what we have been up to, and if you haven't been her…
"How are you involved in preparing for the changes that peak oil, economic instabilty and climate change are bringing, and in creating resilience and sustainable life style in our communities?"
I co-run ROOTS; Reclaiming Our Origins through Traditional Skills. Roots teaches wilderness primitive living and traditional skills, tracking, awareness, and land-based philosophies to both adults and youth. I look to bring these skills to the movement as they incorporate resilience through self-reliance, and a way to slow down in order to acknowledge and give thanks to the multitude of connections in our lives.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
This is our zeitgeist. I see this as a part of moving us beyond our current impractical way of living.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
To continue to facilitate and educate others in traditional/primitive skills.
