"How are you involved in preparing for the changes that peak oil, economic instabilty and climate change are bringing, and in creating resilience and sustainable life style in our communities?"
Indirectly. I have moved back to Vermont only two weeks ago having been born and raised here. I am here to prepare for the chaos.
In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested?
Preparation for the drastic changes that are imminent.
I seek people and organizations of like mind who will help people survive and educate those who choose to prepare on how to do so. I now realize your connection with "Timeline 2010" with whom I have a membership and am excited about meeting an associate group that I can work with now that I have moved back here. Now I know I can be truly helpful.
How can you help the growth/acceptance/vitality of the Transition movement?
I am not young. I hope to utilize my years of experience in the food industry and my Vermont upbringing to help people wrap their minds around the reality of the changes happening now.

I fear infiltration. Perhaps questions of a "screening" nature may be necessary as we get closer to the times of imminent changes.
Hey Phil,
Thanks. Prob won't call very soon - lot going on, but I'm sure we'll connect. This # can't be right " 802-473-218" missing a digit and isn't Hardwick 472? Send me yr corrected number and we'll connect when it works!

Hey Phil! Welcome!
When Annie mentioned you I thought the name was familiar - Gallant is a good old Hardwick name. I lived on Tucker Brook Road for 10 years and was on the Rescue Squad, planning/zoning board, etc., etc., and have lived in the area since 1973.

Hi Philip, Welcome to Transition Vermont - and welcome back to Vermont! From what you wrote, it seems you have the sense of drastic, imminent change - I hear you. I think the Transition model is a good one to move us quickly into better and better position - inwardly and outwardly - to work with the changes as they intensify. I would imagine that your Vermont upbringing will serve well. Where in Vermont did you land? Perhaps I can hook you up with some local transitioneers. Best, Annie p.s. Do you know John Brown from Newburyport? He came to the Training for Transition in Montpelier last March.
