Transition Toolkit Starts October 1

Transition Shelburne and Transition Charlotte have teamed up with Burlington Permaculture and Shelburne Farms to offer Transition Toolkit, an eight week course in sustainable living.

Each week centers around a theme such as Food, Transportation, or Home Heating. Thursday night lectures, Friday night movies, and Saturday afternoon workshops help to both educate participants about these issues, as well as teach tangible, easy-to-use sustainable living skills.

Transition Toolkit lectures are $7,… Continue

Operation Free

Operation Free is a coalition of leading veterans and national security organizations who recognize that climate change is a major threat, and support bold action. Their website, launched this week, includes detailed information on how our current ways of energy consumption threaten America's safety.

Glad to have their help!

Hi Kathy,
Fyi, we have decided to increase the number of folks in the training, so there will probably be space 'til closer to the time. Geo ~

Hi Kathy.

The Greeks, Vermont, and theatre to save the world: This I am thinking is a rare, cool and weird thing for two people who don't know each other to have in common. I've been wondering if/when we would have a chance to connect, and Transition Vermont turns out to be that chance.

I'm excited to see your solo adaptation of Lysistrata being unveiled (think the new title is great), and am hoping I get to see it at Flynn. (Big hike for me from Hudson Valley.) Have you considered TSL in Hudson, NY re: a performance?

I'm working on a lecture + performance piece - like a really 'dramatic' lecture -- re: "The Tragedy and Comedy of Climate Change" and will be ready this spring to make the transition from kitchen rehearsals before an audience of dirty dishes to performing for human beings.

Do you know/do playback?

Friend up?

Hi Kathy!
Yeeee-ha! Our very own Vermont state site! Great to see "The Boycott" as our first event listing. It does look overwhelmingly cool. I would definitely be there if not so close to our event with Naresh Giangrande on the 24th.
I love the Flynnspace. There's something vaguely subversive and Left Bank about it. (in a good way, of course!)
Cheers! George ~
