Hi Josh, Do you have any recollection about community garden plans for Barre? I seem to remember there was something afoot with the Barre Beautiful group, but haven't heard anything since. I'm musing about city property that could be utilized for community gardens or just looking for some vacant property in my own neighborhood - there's a humongous lawn across the street from my house that's for sale...not to mention the humongous lawn of our mayor and the city lawyer on Nelson (just down the street from me).
Hi Josh! Re: our next TT Montpelier meeting. Our last two initiating committee meetings where canceled due to weather! We will meet tomorrow, Tues, and then should get word out quickly. Probable date Sat. Jan 10.
Hi Josh! I miss having you here in Barre. I look forward to learning more about Transition Towns. Would like to get more Barre people involved. Hope you and the family are well! Emily
I agree, Josh--we should get the VFN on this site. I wanted to post the local currency workgroup meeting, but it won't let me do it without an image. I'm wondering if we can get the VFN "logo" released as a jpg for uses like this.
Hi Joshua,
I urge you to get the Planning District and Valley Futures listed in "Groups". You and I are connecting our group's through personal contact - this site is also a site where many groups can have a presence and group to group connections can happen that way. Huge potential for synergies and exciting, perhaps unexpected projects evolving!! "Statewide Email List" is our only group now, as Les said, we could have 50 or 60 here. Get us started!
Cheers! George ~
Welcome Joshua. Great to see you here "...I'm active in the Mad River Valley's Valley Futures Network (http://valleyfutures.net/)...." -- perfect. Do you envision ways we might collaborate? I keep hearing positive things about Valley Futures. Talk with George -- I see you've already connected with him.
