For many years, through my education as an environmental design and ecological systems major, as a land use planner developing sustainable policies for rural and urban environments, as a practicing architect and as a researcher into methods of self-organizing bio-regional change to sustainable lifestyles, I have been involved in the "transition" movement, but only now formally in the "Transition Movement."

Hi David
I noticed you were considering the rocket oven workshop i am hosting this month and i wanted to let you know we condensed it into only a weekend where we focus on the oven and exclude the shelter element this time. the new cost for the weekend is $200 and includes all meals, camping, yoga... Let me know if you are interested.

Marc typically asks $1000+ to speak. I think if we make it more organizational and not so much a presentation to the public we could build this capacity you mentioned.
Would you be willing to talk to Peter? He may have other people in mind as well. I think there is someone with a PH in VT that would be good to have also.
I would be willing to talk to VGBN and BSR and set up a site.

David,
Wondering if it would be useful to have a PH informational meeting thru BSR/VGBN? We could have a few people talk about it including you and maybe Peter Schneider. Not sure if you have other folks who might be good to have.
What do you think?

David,
Your site looks interesting. Have you connected with Gwen Hallsmith and checked out EarthCAT and the Laser Guide? If not they are right up your alley.

Let me know if you have any ideas around PH and Natural Building, this is my current work. I am also interested in your experience with the PH training. I applied but my VSAC grant didn't make it in time. I went to the Boston gathering last week and had a great time.

Greetings, David. Welcome!
"Living it" Yes! Anything from your experience that you would like to share as a blog, as a new discussion, or a reply to discussions, (check 'em out), would be excellent.
Two members from up this way that you might want to connect with are Ben Graham, a natural builder in Plainfield, and Gwen Hallsmith, the planning director for the City of Montpelier. We also have 4 practicing Permaculturists, Ben Falk, Mark Krawczyk, Nicko Rubin and Keith Morris. Click on "Members" on the top menu bar.

Cheers! George Lisi, Transition Town Montpelier ~
