If you can pledge to show up at 5pm with a candle and a friend on December 11th in Manchester Center, please email me. It is important to continue to participate in 350.org's climate change awareness initiative. This tree planting project is a long-term commitment, and if you can spare 10 minutes to keep this endeavor in the forefront of our community's consciousness, that would be great! Laura_Yanne@yahoo.com. Thank you!

Transition Town Manchester has been selected as Volunteer Tree Steward of the Year by the Vermont Urban & Community Forestry Council! We were recognized for our actions in support of Bill McKibben's 350.org global climate action. We have sold and are planting 350 fruit trees throughout the community. The award ceremony is in Montpelier, Dec 9, 5:00 P.M. with the Governor. Community engagement! Yay!

TTowners- We are planning a film series/festival (to be decided- one or other or both) and need recommendations for inspiring, hopeful, project type films. Subjects are any that have to do with ecology, resilient wonderful living, solutions to problems, ecological health care, energy, etc.
Full length or shorts. If you would like to make a film (long or short) start shooting!

Helena, I sent a note to all the TTM e-mail list but yours looks like it bounced back. I asked anyone who is interested to let me know. Let's get a committee going and plan for the winter. We are meeting at Sally and Bob Leonard's house on wed. the 18th @6:30. Maybe the film crew should meet on monday or tuesday so we can make recommends at the meeting wed.

I do have it. I guess those of us interested in doing a film series should talk and preview films and plan how to do this.

helena-- do you have Orgasmic Birth? I think that would be a great one to show...

I would like to help too!
I can't believe I will be away at another herbal thing on Nov. 14! Well, my energy is with you all.
I have another movie on herbal medicine called Numen. I own the DVD but am not sure how we would do that at a theater. http://www.numenfilm.com/ It speaks to the environmental/sustainability aspects of medicine as well.
Also have birth films.
