Programs for Transformative Dialogue - Learn How to Be the Change

Looking for ways to foster growth and change within your community and amongst your friends? Take one of Northwest Earth Institutes seven discussion courses!

The Northwest Earth Institute is a recognized national leader in the development of innovative programs that empower individuals and organizations to protect the Earth. NWEI offers seven discussion guides for small groups that can be implemented in workplaces, homes, libraries, universities, faith centers, neighborhoods and community centers throughout the nation. The study guides are a tremendous educational and community building resource for those working to promote and create a sustainable future. Course topics include:
• Menu for the Future
A six-session course exploring food systems and impacts on culture, society and ecological health, and considering food choices that create and support more sustainable food systems.

• Global Warming: Changing CO2urse
A four-session course exploring the history and science of global warming, personal values and habits as they relate to climate change, and personal actions to curb the effects of global warming.

• Voluntary Simplicity
A seven-session course promoting alternatives to the distractions of modern society and highlighting ways to better support personal well-being, relationships and the environment.

• Choices for Sustainable Living
A seven-session course exploring the meaning of sustainable living and the ties between lifestyle choices and their impact on ecological systems.

• Healthy Children - Healthy Planet
A seven-session course considering the pervasive effects of advertising, media and our consumer culture on a child's view of the world, and exploring ways to develop a child’s connection to nature and to foster creativity.

• Discovering a Sense of Place
A seven-session course focusing on knowing, protecting, and taking responsibility for our place.

• Exploring Deep Ecology
An eight-session course addressing core values and how they affect the way we view and treat Earth.
