Just received this email from Ben Falk. GREAT opportunity to tour an amazing Permaculture homestead.

Greetings friends and neighbors, fellow gardeners and farmers,

Due to the weather this year our annual summer tour has been pushed forward and scheduled for this weekend. We will have our spring-dug tree crop nursery plants for sale after the tour as well including plants such as hazelnut, plum, apple, chestnut, walnut, seaberry, elderberry, cherry.

What:
An exploration of an edible landscape and permaculture garden-farm ecosystem.
We will walk through and highlight approaches in ecological land use and post oil homesteading strategies such as:

-Cold hardy perennial crops: fruits, nuts, berries
-Soil building: composting, legumes, N-fixing guilds, biomass cropping, sheet mulching, aerobic compost tea, biochar
-Season extension, microclimate development
-Mushrooms
-Fuelwood hedges
-Diversified storage vegetables
-Fish
-Rice
-Ducks and chickens
-Human and solar powered tools and infrastructure, natural building

Tour size is limited to about 50 people, so please RSVP below to let us know if you're coming.

Where: 66 Dean's Mountain, Moretown. 2nd driveway on the right, on Deans Mountain Road, 1/2 mile down the Moretown Common Road after a left from the Moretown/Northfield Mountain Road just up from the Mobil Station in Moretown Village.

When: Sunday, July 12th at 5:30 P.M. Tour will last about 1.5 hours with opportunity to buy site-grown perennial crops (potted) after the tour.
